While in Ashland Oregon I visited the opening of the new exhibit at the Schneider Museum of Art on the campus of Southern Oregon University. There are paintings by Eva Lake and the main attraction is the rugs of the Teec Nos Pos. I was told that these amazing symmetrical craft works had spirit holes where the spirit of each piece could enter and exit each piece. So there I was looking at each blanket to find this very slight intended design flaw. It felt as though I was looking for something that was wrong yet it was part of what made these rugs so intresting.
